The film has been released all over India on 21 July 2016 on 9 different screens across India, including West Bengal, Assam, Jharkhand and Mumbai. Its release was delayed due to controversies over its source material while it was being edited. The controversy arose when the film's producer revealed that many scenes are not from reality .
